The lair of a red dragon plaguing the surrounding lands has been found inside an active volcano.  Brave adventures who are seeking to put down the beast and claim its stolen treasures must brave the lava fields, enter its lair and do battle with the dragon.  


This brief but challenging adventure details a red dragon’s lair. If you need a ready-made dragon’s lair to drop into your campaign, this adventure will fit the bill!  It is recommended for five or six characters of the twelfth or thirteenth level.  This one-shot uses monsters from the Monster Manual, which is needed to run this adventure.


Maps have been prepared at 70 DPI of key locations.  Grid and no grid variants of most maps are included.  Maps provided include:


  • Red Dragon’s Lair 
  • Red Dragon – Lava Field

Some screenshots from todays work on Hythum. I've been putting this area together all week and it's nearly done. If I have been producing like this during my entire recovery I'd be sitting pretty. I've just released a  5e D&D conversion of the various monsters, magic items, and creature encounters for the classic adventure S4: The Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth. The original module is required to use this conversion guide. This guide includes stat blocks for more than 15 new monsters in addition to new magic items and artifacts. Hang it up?

Ever want to hang it up? I'm modding now and am likely to continue for an hour or so but in the same breath part of me wants to hang it up. Just a little burn out. It will pass. This is a good activity for me while my foot is healing. :-)
