Microsoft Visual Studio Team Meeting
I bumped into this advertisement at work. It looks more like my gaming project when I visit the web site. Had to post this clip.
Here's a link to their site. Part of it looked like it could have been out of Tomoachan. http://www.defyallchallenges.com/ Is it a programming tool or a game? If the next version of visual studio plays more like I game I'd be very happy.

XNA Studio which uses Visual Studio is used to create Xbox games. It is essentially everything that the Neverwinter Toolset should aspire to be.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see the NWN engine and scripting language replaced with C# and the .Net framework. The limitless possibilities this would open up (as it has done for the toolset) are astounding.
I like .net, we use asp.net for our web sites at work and use mostly microsoft tools. I'd have no problem with that. I thought the NWN2 toolset took a big step forwards in terms of what it offered.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the post enigmatic.... where do you hail from?

The ability to write plug-ins for the toolset is a dream come true... if only we could write plug-ins for the core engine we would be set.
ReplyDeleteThe other side of the planet my friend.... South Australia
Very cool!
ReplyDeleteMost of what we do at work is in VB, but I've a little experience with C++ and am comfortable noodling about in C++.
Thanks again for the post.
