Hythum Screenshots - Villiage of Sciforth

I had Good Friday off and split the day between my kids and when they were entertaining themselves I modded. I worked on Sciforth, the last civilized village in Hythum. It's very small, and sprung up along the port road to Boyden Castle. It needs polish, but it's come along very nicely in a short time.

  1. That looks Awesome. Great work with the texturing there, bud. Very nice grass layout too. Oh, and is that a crafting station?

  2. land, kitchen of my dreams, a pimped out flying ship, and I'll pick one of those houses. What more could I ask for? Oh I know! I wanna play the module!! :D :D

  3. @jclef. It is. It's also where the blacksmith works out in back of that building. Some how the thatched roof I wanted to use throughout the town didn't scream blacksmith. If I were going to have a hot forge I'd probably put it out back too. :-) I thought it looked pretty cool.

@liso That got a good belly laugh outta me. I may have to name one of the pimped out airships the 'S.S Liso' in honor of the laughter you inspired this morning. How funny.

  4. The grass-work looks very good. The smooth-curved path catches my eye too. Well everything looks good but I don't want you to be to confident that this will be a blockbuster module. :D

I agree with you on placing the blacksmiths workplace outdoors, having a the hot forge would set those thatched roofs on fire within minutes (which could be a fun side-quest).

BTW I attached the airship to an invisible creatures butt and made it walk on a walkmesh helper along the horizon. That was pretty cool!

I thought about messing with that, or seeing if I could use the model as a creature that could attack and be destroyed. I don't need that to tell the story but I have to admit I was a bit curious. :-)

I hope the module comes out ok. There is a LONG way to go.

  6. I think the ships movement will be quite strange if it would be involved in a fight. Adam Miller have done it in DW but I did never have the time to examine how it worked.

  7. Does the TS have anvils? I don't see one. I liked my idea that it was a nifty outdoor kitchen though, LOL

  8. There's two anvils in the toolset. One normal and one cracked.

If I was a blacksmith I'm sure I couldn't resist taking some hot dogs with me to work, cooking them over the grill... Great lunch!

  9. Ah... so you didn't care for the stealth anvil, eh... I'll be sure and put in a more traditional and visible anvil. :-)

Hot dogs work too. I'll throw a few on, if you don't mind bits of metal mixed in with your hot dog sounds great. If you are playing a dwarf it could be perfect.

  10. I made a pitcher of Margarita's and brought some babyback ribs for the grill. We need a bard for music and some tables maybe? oh and a dance floor! hehe

Love the areas Ernie. all kidding aside :)

"who is bringing the napkins? I'm a bit messy some times" :D

  11. It's a Neverwinter Picnic!

Now where is the checkered picnic blanked and wicker basket placeable. Hang on, let me re-bake.
