Slow down
I have blogged about my recovery on my personal blog several times, but felt like posting a bit here. My new cast and return to 40 hour work weeks has caused my foot to swell. I have some tingling, stinging and numbness in a few toes too. When I go home at night I like to mod for an hour or two but lately I've been coming home and putting my feet up, elevating them as much as possible.
I remain frustrated by the disruption of my forward momentum.
Oh well. What can you do.

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope the foot gets better soon.
ReplyDeleteCompletely understandable. Sounds like quite an uncomfortable experience to me, just concentrate on getting better :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, that's about all I can do is hurry up and wait! (laugh).
ReplyDeleteWith time I know it will improve. I really expected the silver lining on my recovery to be lots of modding time. I guess you don't always get what you wish for.
Thanks for the posts guys.
It will get better Ernie. Just hang in there. hey! get a lap table and move your chair over to your pc? heheh ok, maybe not/ I might have done that though :D
ReplyDelete"hugs"
with any surgery you should push yourself too much to get back to full fitness/mobility (although I've been saying that and it's a year on since my surgery and i've got the growing beer-gut as a atestament to it... maybe time to start exercising again.... sometimes I think about getting those electrical muscle trainers and plugging myself in whilst I'm working on the toolset... ;) )
ReplyDeleteTake it easy, and we'll see you back soon enough
Thanks Liso and Wyrin. I'm getting there slowly but surely.
ReplyDeleteAnyone got a cure moderate wounds?
*hands over a potion of heal*
ReplyDeleteNow-days there's a lot of nifty USB-devices. Maybe you should get the USB morphine injector to get back to this very important task :)
