DMFI Version of Keep on the Borderlands Released

The DMFI version of B2 Keep on the Borderlands has been released.

Carlo did a great deal of work making this a reality. I helped with a few screen shots and a bit of information but he really did the bulk of the work.

There is a thread on the NWNPodcast forums about a group setting up a multiplayer run through of keep on the borderlands. I hope it goes well.

  1. It was a breeze (relatively speaking) to make the additions/changes to the mod, thanks to Ernie's good building techniques and helpfulness with the docs. I learned some things about NWN2 building along the way as well, so it was a good experience all around.

  2. You know I've got a project that is largely unfinished... way way too much to do at this point. The project is Hythum of course. Perhaps I'll revisit it as a DMFI module. That would still be a TON of work but it would be less scripting and dialog particularly if I made it a DM required module.

Perhaps that would get me going again.

    Hmmm.....

  3. I've been a long time lurker here and elsewhere ENoa4, and am a very big fan of NWN2 and both of your NWN2 mods. Your suggestion to make Hythum a DMFI module finally got me to create a Google account, as I never like to give out my information.

But *please* do not make Hythum into a DM only module. While I am all for classical D&D, the whole reason I play NWN2 is because as a 40 something, finding DMs and players is just not possible with career and family.

I have loved your NWN2 work, and I would hate to loose Hythum when it finally gets done. If it means taking year off, then take off a year. But please so finish it as a single player mod!

    Begging on my knees,

    Tauschitz

  4. Hey Tauschitz,

I am kind of in the same boat. I don't have time for DM led or multiplayer games often with a job, wife and my kids, but like to mod as it can be done alone.

Thanks for the request and compliment. I would like to fix it, I'm just a bit burned out at the moment. Perhaps sometime soon I will take it up again. One never knows.

    thanks,

    Ernie
